Composition of the B.A.-Program

The first year of the BA Program aims at providing new students of history with an orientation in historical methods and knowledge in all three epochs of history: ancient, medieval and modern history. Modules combining lectures and courses (I, the 'Ips', and II) serve this purpose. During the second year of the BA-program methodological skills are broadened in courses which deal with more specific topics (modules III & V). Students are meant to develop special fields of interest in the third year which is leading to the final examination (modules VI & VII). In the second year of the program a special module IV combines a practical course with an internship.
